Biden’s speech was inspiring. It was full of information telling Americans how much he has achieved for them and the country since defeating Donald Trump. The 35% percent of Americans who believe Fox conspiracy theories have no idea our economy is strong because Fox entertainment journalists believe their viewers are too stupid to understand what makes the economy healthy or unhealthy. Eleven million new jobs have been created since Biden ousted the mad king. The employment rate is at 3.5, the lowest since 1969. The deficit is down $1.7 trillion, and inflation numbers are improving. Did MAGA voters notice that Russia-friendly Tucker Carlson is avoiding explaining why many economists say our economy is recovering faster than expected? Based on his ratings in Russia, Carlson’s commentary seems aimed at appeasing Putin equally with how Trump aligns with Putin. Additionally, in his speech, Biden explained that the spending bills he passed would be paid for by paying the wealthy their fair share of taxes.President Biden’s successful management of the pandemic contributed to saving the economy from Trump’s incompetent and dishonest message about how dangerous the virus is. The spread of covid was a byproduct of lies and bogus theories spread by Trump and his eccentric surrogates. Constantly backlighting Trump, Republicans like McCarthy show little respect for the emotional capacity of their base. They stick to the facts of their fallen, discredited former president’s failures that can be easily verified on the Internet. In talking to their constituents, GOP leaders keep them naive and treated like children or sheep, easily led astray. The only reason Trump is relevant in the party is the opportunistic weakness of Republican leaders Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
Biden made fools and liars out of the Republican Party in the State of the Union. He told Americans about Florida Senator Rick Scott’s plan to “sunset” Social Security and Medicare. This means that every 1-5 years these programs will be cut or benefits reduced based on the will of Congress. Republicans melted and whooped and hollered as Biden revealed the facts. Maga Republicans called President Biden a “liar” despite the fact that Scott’s plan has been promoted to the public in printed pamphlets and acknowledged by Scott in interviews. The GOP congressional majority cried foul as Biden released Scott’s proposal. Other senators like Ron Johnson and Mike Lee are talking about cutting Medicare and Social Security.
Georgia’s 14th District incites the ignorance and indecency of the most qualified, insulting member of Congress. He’s proof that our democracy needs tweaking to allow incompetent, immature, naive people to be privy to national security secrets.
Republicans are once again relying on their base’s ignorance of facts and tendency to believe lies easily. They incorrectly refer to Social Security and Medicare as “entitlement” programs while Democrats correctly refer to them as “earned” benefit programs. Americans pay into these programs from the first paycheck they earn.
Biden so upset the GOP Congress when he revealed their policies threatened these popular programs, he led them to applaud in public and declare that cutting any part of these programs was off the table. In this exchange about Social Security and Medicare, Biden showed his political savvy, his policy experience and his dedication to seniors, veterans, the disabled and the middle class. In contrast, Republicans are represented by loud, unqualified candidates from districts that need and enjoy the benefits of Democratic policies.
A man is happy; Others are always angry, paranoid and insecure. One man treats all men equally and the other favors white Christians and white nationalists. A person is not under investigation for overthrowing the government; The other person incited and permitted a riot and is facing possible charges for his actions. One man is a man of faith, while the other fakes faith to get votes. A man is not an adulterer; Other people are. A man reflects the sentiments, demographics, and beliefs of a diverse American population; The other supports policies that reflect the racism and misogyny of the 1950s. The State of the Union is strong, President Biden’s ethics and policies are moving America forward. As Rep. Liz Cheney said, Trump should never be allowed anywhere near the Oval Office again.”
